Common natural veneer trees include cherry, walnut, oak and other materials. The surface of natural wood veneer has natural wood texture without artificial processing, and it can also emit natural good smell, which is very popular!

Here we will introduce how wood veneer was made, there are 6 steps:
Step 1 Cut the tree
First of all, Factory will cut the logs. Then they will use machine to debarked the logs carefully without damaging the core.

Step 2 Fumigation
After the cutting plan is determined, the next job is to put the wood cubes into the cooking pool for cooking. This procedure is very important. After the wood cube is cooked (i.e. hydro thermal treatment), the plasticity of the wood increases.
When the wood cube was put into the cooking pool, it should be carried out according to the specifications of the tree species and the wood cube. It is better to keep the water temperature at normal temperature and raise the temperature slowly to avoid cracking of the wood due to thermal stress.

Step 3 Flat Cutting, Plain slicing
The wood skin was cut, In last post we have talked about it, How to Cut Wood into Veneer-4 Ways You Might not Know
The wood skin texture processed by different slicing methods is also different. There are 4 methods base on manufacturing method: plain slicing(flat cut), rotary cut, quarter slicing, lengthwise slicing.

Step 4 Dry
The sliced wood bark is dried to ensure that the water content is about 8%-10% and it dries flat and evenly.

Step 5 Trimming
Fifth, trim the sliced veneer, cut off the burrs on both sides of the veneer, and pile them together and stacked into bundles according to specifications.
And stick a code list to facilitate counting.

Step 6 Pack Veneer
